School sports can be very beneficial for some high school students, but could not having sports benefit the school? Should schools be paying for sports or should kids join sports teams at other places? Sports can be a good experience for some students and can build confidence, friendships, and give kids a healthy activity to do outside of school, but could schools save more money if they did not have sports and use the money to build a better academic environment? Some kids do not have the best family life, so being able to easily access something to get them out of their house can make a huge impact. Sports can also provide the opportunity for students to get athletic scholarships and help them evolve from a high school student athlete to a college student athlete. High schools having sports can open opportunities for things like easy fundraising, earning money from the game, and also allow a lot more people to be involved and supporting the school. On the other hand, schools could also be saving the money that they would use towards things like sports equipment, field and court maintenance, uniforms, coaches, busing, and also all the extra little things that have to be paid for. The money that would be saved could go towards things to better the classrooms and the learning environment for the students. This could make students more engaged and also give them a better learning experience.
