Additionally, smoking harms the people around the smoker. Last, smoking is bad for the environment. Although some might say otherwise, smoking should be illegal in the United States. Smoking is harmful to the person who smokes. Smoking can cause many harmful diseases. Also, it can cause you to have problems with your gums, not only your teeth. Authors, Kowalski, Kathiann M say, "Beyond that, smokeless tobacco makes gums pull away from the teeth. Callus-like sores form in the mouth. Users are more likely to develop cavities." From this information it is evident that smoking affects the entire body with no positive outcome. Therefore, smoking should be outlawed for the smokers sake. On the other hand, opponents of this is sure claim, that smokers are using cleaner types of cigarettes. These new cigarettes are considered safer because they have less tar and bad chemicals in them. While this might be the case, not all smokers are taking this route and even if they try new
