Many people know about the company Apple as one of the largest companies in the world. Ipads, Iphones, and Mac computers are being used by people all around the world. If you are familiar with Apple, then you are probably familiar with one of the founders of Apple, Steve Jobs. Not only was Steve Jobs the former CEO of Apple Inc. , but he was one of the three founding fathers of the Pixar Animation Studios. “Steven Paul Jobs was an American inventor, designer and entrepreneur who was the co-founder, chief executive and chairman of Apple Computer.” (biography.com). They funded their entrepreneurial venture by Jobs selling his Volkswagen bus and Wozniak selling his beloved scientific calculator.” (biography.com). Both Jobs and Wozniak sold their “treasure” for money to support their development of the Apple computer. They made the computers smaller, cheaper, and more convenient to carry. Although Apple was successful with becoming a publicly traded company, it suffered from design flaws resulting in customer disappointment while needing to compete with IBM and PC. After returning to Apple, he turned Apple back on track with a new management team and his creative designs. “In the ensuing years, Apple introduced such revolutionary products as the Macbook Air, iPod and iPhone, all of which dictated the evolution of technology.” (biography.com). Jobs was smart and talented, but he wasn’t that lucky. “In 2003, Jobs discovered that he had a neuroendocrine tumor, a rare but operable form of pancreatic cancer.” (biography.com). Although he was able to remove the pancreatic cancer in 2004, later in 2009, he said that his health-related issues were more complex than he thought. He still continued to serve the company, such as releasing the iPad in 2010. He had to deal with all of these health problems and continued to work for Apple for years, until he passed away in October
