“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful, that's what matters to me.” -Steve Jobs. He does not care if he is the one with the largest bank account in the end, one day he wants to be the one who was known for his greatness and how he impacted the world with his knowledge, that is what he wants people to think. This kind of attitude is exactly what was needed for the founding of Apple, and CEO Steve P. Jobs had what it took. Jobs accomplished many things in his life. The Apple l computer was first thought of and created in Jobs’s parents garage in 1976, and it was only the beginning (Hunter 14). Jobs had a hunch for knowing what customers wanted, and Wozniak was the technical part of it (Hunter 14). In 1977 the Apple ll was released, it became the quickest selling computer made in history at that time (Hunter 14). By this time Apple was a multi-million-dollar company, all due to the success of the Apple ll, ran out of a garage by two young guys (Hunter 15). In 1983 Jobs put together a little team to create The Macintosh, and by January 1984 it had launched but by this time technology had changed in the world, for The Macintosh was not a giant, quick success (Hunter 19-20). In 1983 Job’s had chosen John Sculley, “a former executive with the soft drink company Pepsi,” to be Apple’s new CEO (Hunter 20). It had became known that Apple needed a person who was more experienced and been in the business world to be in charge of the company (Hunter 20). Well, in 1985 Sculley had convinced the board of the Apple company that they would be better off without Jobs (Hunter 21).
