The salary of the College football coaching job has been rising since the late 90’s from the minimum of 100,000 to millions of dollars a year. Knowing that a coach of a football team can make such revenue causes society to complain about the profession and why it has such a high salary for coaching a sport. This topic has been around for years and some have also been revoked of their scholarships from receiving money from a product that has been signed or sold to someone from there being on the football team. But “Some people are aware enough to realize that student athletes on athletic scholarship are essentially paid already because they receive free tuition, room, meal plans, and some money for books and miscellaneous expenses. At the bigger, more successful universities, athletes also receive academic counseling, tutoring, life skill training, and even nutritional advice.”(Dorfman) So as those say that athletes don’t get paid for their performance they do get paid and that is for their education so after college they will have a career and not have to worry about not having a degree and having to pay off loans. But the players get professional training and strength programs that would otherwise cost 2000-3000 dollars. And playing at a big school you get the chance to get you name out there for things like the pro draft and if you are looking towards being drafted into the pros the coaches will want to talk to someone the trust and someone they will want to get the inside
