Success is most often defined by society as having a lot of money, fame and fortune. Many rich businessmen and famous celebrities are labeled as successful because they appear to have what society believes is the ideal life. In reality their lives aren’t everything they appear to be. Many are suffering from illnesses such as depression and stress. Many are led down the path of addiction to drugs and alcohol. How can this be the meaning of success? The real definition of success is finding a way to be happy and healthy and being able to live life to the fullest. Someone who demonstrates a rich and famous person who was not as successful as thought to be is Robin Williams. He is a recent and perfect example of a supposedly successful human whose end result was suicide. No one ever saw this coming because in everyone’s mind, Robin Williams was a typical happy and successful celebrity. He had endless amounts of money. He was so humorous and everyone loved his movies. So many people, who are, turn out to reveal themselves differently. A truly successful person could be a completely average human being. They may not be advertised in the media or on the front page of magazines. These people are successful because they wake up everyday with a love for life. Many of these people are living simple lives. They tend to appreciate the little things such as a beautiful sunset or a funny joke. They spend a lot less time focusing on the negatives and spend a lot more time focusing on the positives and how they can better their lives.
