When I think of successful people I don’t think of people who have never missed up or those who are perfect in every way, shape, and form. I think of those people who have not only failed once but maybe numerous times throughout life and have always found a way to learn from their mistakes and grow as an individual. Let’s all face it nobody is perfect. Everyone is bound to make a mistake through-out their life. But, those who are really successful people know how to turn those past mistakes into a thing to learn from. Knowing that when I finish the task I have no regrets afterwards because I have done all that I can do Is the best feeling I have ever known. Not that I could do something better then someone else, but maybe doing something better than my first attempt the second time around. Knowing that I have made personal progress is the biggest success, and the only real success I know. Success for me means progression. I have learned this meaning from my past cheerleading experiences. I have been a cheerleader for going on seven years and have had many failures. My coaches however, have taught me not to look at them as failures but, as a lesson in disguise. As cheerleaders we practice all year round working on the same routine so that we can go out and compete and try to get first at competitions. For some athletes this is their only goal in the sport. They only want to win the competition and beat their competitors in every aspect. So of course, when we do not win these athletes become really upset by the fact that we lost to someone else.
