Ehmke’s stance on social media is evident throughout her article showing her side of the risks of social media. She creates an emotional appeal to parents of the teenagers. Her logic on the bad side of social media gives parents a sense of anguish and frightment. Her article is very biased, to remove that bias she could’ve incorporated the benefits so that her audience could weigh out their own thought. Although social media has a lot of downsides, it increases socialization and communication among each other. According to Gwenn Schurgin O’Keeffe and Kathleen Clarke-Pearson social media allows them to extend their view on themselves, the community, and the world (2011, p.1). Staying connected enables kids to strengthen friendships and to create
