Parent Cooperative for Early Learning (PCEL) is a not-for-profit preschool and child care facility that humbly serves the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois and continues to be a staple (retrieved from http://parentcoop.squarespace.com). The leader will exude optimism, honesty, integrity, and focus on community through transformation. Optimism creates drive and motivation. If the leader can encourage everyone to give more effort, the organization will thrive. Determination of the leader would drive others to contribute. PCEL, as previously stated, is an organization that progresses because of team work. The director will demonstrate trustworthiness through consistently, constant, and clear lines of communication. The communication has to be comprehensible and effective to intrigue others to revisit and re-believe the mission of the organization, in order to carry out the organizational goals. A leader that displays integrity to all followers is noticed as a person who is moral and ethical in all circumstances, and THAT is the type of leader everyone will follow (Weiss, 2015). “Create short-term wins (London & Mone, 2012).” PCEL hopes to be able to create improvements in the school as well as reward people involved continuously. The cooperative will conduct a SWOT analysis and surveys to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the company against past history and current competitors. The SWOT analysis and surveys will help the organization discover what works for the company and how to improve what works to be better than before.
7. “Don’t let up (London & Mone, 2012).” Companies are always changing. Most importantly, PCEL will be more motivated to reorganize member responsibilities and change technological advances. The leaders should verbalize often that these changes and reminders are happening to motivate families to become leading forces and watch the school progress further than 30 years.
8. “Make the change stick (London & Mone, 2012).” Finally, PCEL will positively reinforce the connections between the new behaviors and organizational success (London & Mone, 2012). PCEL hopes to make new connections and gain a reputation for a successful restoration and openness to future improvements.
