While society wants us to believe we have to look perfect and change how we look, Alessia Cara wants us to see that we are beautiful just the way we are and we don’t have to change a thing.

Another positive line is “you should know you’re beautiful just they way you are”. No matter who judges you or does not like you for who you are, you, yourself should know that you’re beautiful just how you are. Even though this song is sad, there’s so much positivity that comes out of it, within the text she states sad things, but at the end of each stanza you get a positive message.
