Advertisement Analysis Advertisements are often about selling a product or a service to its target customers. But very few advertisements can actually go beyond this notion and set a brand apart by showcasing multiple ideas in one advertisement targeted towards a broad range of audience. This paper will talk about an advertisement that serves all these purposes mentioned above. It will also discuss how the chosen advertisement relates to the modern American way of life. Even though the ad showcased some of Ford cars that are available in the market at the moment, it is not just a simple sales pitch. The ad works as a ‘corporate branding’ tool for Ford. And the target group is not just one single market niche. Rather, the ad targeted a wide range of urban people that want to make their lives faster and simpler. This ad is intrinsically connected to the American way of life. For instance, it is being shown during this year’s Super Bowl. This tournament is an essential part in the lives of the American people. By showing the ad during this time slot, Ford is actually attempting to reach a broader audience because during the Super Bowl, most American citizens are glued to the Television. Secondly, the ad showed numerous problems that the urban American people face in their daily lives and how they intend to make things better for themselves. Then Ford portrayed itself as the rescuer and mobility solution provider for these people not just for today, but for tomorrow as well. Ford shows its heartfelt intention of creating a ‘transportation ecosystem’ all over America in order to help the urban American people move faster and more conveniently. Implicitly, the ad also flaunts American creativity to change the dynamics of the society.
