Dear Meredith, I am writing to express my interest in the Academic Coach (Math, K-8) position. In my twenty-three-year career with the School District of Philadelphia, my leadership experiences have demonstrated that I can excel at all the essential functions and have the requirements needed to fill the position. The position of Academic Coach requires many essential functions to be successful. The three I feel most important are supporting all stakeholders involved, complete understanding of the mathematical instruction curriculum and implementing change to make positive growth in and out of the classroom.

I believe my pedagogical style reflects the Providence Day commitment to students, allowing students to be intellectual risk-takers within a community of supportive learners and educators. My life experiences and my enthusiasm will allow me to teach with compassion and understanding to help students achieve academic success while nurturing their social and emotional skills. I will be graduating from Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education on May 6, 2017. Cultural blending can happen anywhere at anytime in the world and it can bring positive or negative changes to a community. The Crusades impacted military orders, territorial expansion, religion, politics, and trade in both Europe and the Middle East. On the other hand, Carolina High School changed in the number of new races, traditions, rules, norms, and much more. The cultural blending that happened at both the Crusades and CHS has brought a positive effect on international and local communities because of the new relationships that were built between the two sides of the Crusades, the new cultures that have arrived at CHS, and the influence on new languages and traditions. To begin with, the Crusades had a more positive effect on the relationships between the East and the West.
Explain how the ethos, mission, aims and values of a school may be reflected in working practices. The ethos, mission, aims and values of the school should be known very well before entering the school setting as it is part and parcel of the environment of the school and the daily practice of the staff and pupils there. All adults that work and are part of setting have the responsibility to model the standards of behaviour, with the children and amongst the colleagues. Good association and strong dealings between adults will encourage the good behaviour in children. All children as an individual should be respected within the school.

Before I discuss my experience at Grace Lutheran Church I feel it would be beneficial to explain my Church Background, so that you can better understand my outsider view of the Sunday morning worship Service I attended. I have been raised in the Baptist/Southern Baptist church my entire life. My parents are from South Carolina, which is also where I grew up, so our idea of Church has always been a small community with a very relaxed atmosphere. I stopped attending the Baptists church when I was 16. I chose to join Bent-tree Bible Fellowship, a non-denominational church.

As Roman Catholics, it is our religious duty to serve others whether those people are a part of our religious community or whether they are from any other type of community. Service is an important aspect of life for not only Catholics but also every single person in the world. By performing various acts of service in our communities, a person’s life can be greatly improved just through a simple act of kindness and love from the person’s heart. Not only can an act of service be beneficial to the person or organization that the volunteer is performing the service for, but it can also be beneficial to the person who is partaking in this act of service for another human being. No matter your age, your background, or your religious affiliation, service is a crucial part of our everyday lives and everyone should get involved in this and do a service out of the good of their hearts.
