From teaching preschoolers in Kindermagic to being an intern at an Intermediate School, teaching has been a big part of my highschool life. Teaching is my favorite thing in the world. I love watching students learn and grow. My role as an educator is to make students feel safe in the classroom and make the learning material fun and creative. In the classroom, I want to promote and incorporate hands-on learning. I believe that students learn best when they engaged in the classroom. I know that my way of teaching will receive positive feedback from students. As a teacher it is important to create a supportive learning environment. One way I can create this learning environment is to teach lessons that go beyond the classroom. Meaning, I want to teach lessons that can provide life skills. This skills can then be used in everyday life. Next, I want to create a strong connection with the parents of students. I think it is important to have this deep connection so they have an understanding on what their child is learning in the classroom. This will also make the school feel open and welcoming. I will create bonds with my students by being engaged in the classroom and sharing my opinion on material while being considerate of other viewpoints. In the first couple of days of school, I will get to know my students names. I can also find out their interests, initiate conversations with them about sports, TV, or school activities, or compliment them on their clothing. I also will provide extra help after school. Some students might need that extra bit of one on one time for the material to really sink in. I will also provide my email address so that my students can email me any questions they have. I will check this regularly so that I can address any questions my students have as soon as
