When I was younger I always wanted to teach. I would play teacher with my younger brother and cousin in my mother’s den. I would give each one of them a piece of paper and a pencil and I would be the teacher. I chose to be a teacher because I enjoy helping children learn, I know I can make a difference in a child's life. I want to be a positive influence in their life both classroom and in the real world. I want to be able to support them academically, make an impact and open their eyes to all their possibilities that are out there. My parents went to school but, they both dropped out high school and college was the last thing on their mind that why I pushed myself to graduate from high school.
