The phrase I will be analyzing is “Man is a fallen being. He is gripped by original sin”. There are two possible interpretations of this phrase which will apply to Lord of the Flies. Both of these are related to Abrahamic religions and the phrase is referring to “The Original Sin” or the Seven Deadly Sins. This novel took place in 1954 where the majority of England was Christian which is an Abrahamic religion so it would not be surprising that this is what the author was hinting towards.
2. How and when did you decide to enter teaching? Well I always played music as a kids, as you know, to help me cope in my everyday life. It was always such a huge part of who I was so it just seemed natural to want to share that. It was in high school that I really decided I wanted to teach.
A large group of students in the United States makeup a large population of English language learners. Students who are considered English language learners undergo many challenges in their education, and without the necessary support and resources from their educators it can make it hard for them to succeed. A teacher plays a significant role in the success of a child, and it is crucial for them to be able to provide the proper education to students whose first language is not English. It is also very important for teachers to understand the challenges that these students are facing. Having empathy towards the students allows for the teacher to create better connections and relationships to better help them.
Teaching New York magazine says that only 6% of people get the job they wanted as a child. I’ve wanted to be a teacher my whole life. I’ve always wanted to help people grow and develop. My teachers always used to tell me I’d be an amazing teacher. When we would do group projects at school, I loved it because I got to stand up and tell these people something they may or may not already know!
I have known since the age of five that I wanted to become a teacher. Working with children has always been a passion for me. For instance, as a young child, I would teach my younger brother certain skills such as writing and mathematics. I want to be an elementary/special education teacher because I think that teaching is a rewarding job and I love watching the children grow over the year. I taught at the Catoctin High School (CHS) Preschool for three years.
As long as I can remember, I’ve always known that I wanted to be a teacher. The years went on and I narrowed it down to teaching young kids. I want to be able to help shape young children’s minds and teach them a joy of learning that some teachers can take away. From a very young age, I was always towards the top of my class and loved almost all my subjects. Quite simply I loved learning
When a teacher gets his or her first classroom there are many things they will want to incorporate including book nooks, teacher workspace, student workspace, etc. However, it is not always easy for them to find space for everything they want with what they are given. Some obstacles include door placement, windows, and built-in furniture. Finding room for what a teacher wants in their classroom and incorporating what is given to them can be tricky but it is something all teachers have to do at least once in their career. There are also many important details that teachers must think about when designing their classroom such as accessibility, distractions, and whether or not the teacher can see all of the students all of the time.
I had the honor of coming into teaching during my undergraduate education. I began working as a volunteer at a local elementary school. I initially came in to mentor children in the school's after-hours program. This school was in a particularly impoverished area in the city. In working with the students, I found that they lacked many of the necessary resources needed to move through the school day.
Teaching has always been one of my passion for as long as I can remember. As a child I enjoyed helping classmates and playing with younger children. As I became older I gradually realized that becoming a professional educator would be the right path for me. I did not realize how much I would enjoy teaching until I became a camp counselor. During my sophomore year I was encouraged by my mother to start using my passion for teaching and helping others to use.
I’ve always been amazed at how big of an impact teachers can have on students, after all, they do spend their first 17 years around them. Teaching is one of the few jobs that comes with such a great reward. I admire the passion that teachers have to do what they do. I believe that teaching will give my life meaning. I want to do something that has a ripple effect and will stay in other’s lives and hopefully be passed on to others.
1 A teacher can build a positive relationship with students by remembering their names and important details. I’m a fan of having the students fills out a notecard with information they want their teacher to be aware of as well as their name and interesting facts. Which gives the student an opportunity to let the teacher know relevant information that may not come up normally in conversation. A positive classroom starts with constructive feedback where ever possible. Psychology tells us that all ages are more receptive to positive feedback.
I want to be a teacher because I had so many teachers that had inspired me to be a teacher just like them. For example when I was in 5th grade my teacher Ms.Walker was missing an arm but she told us she does everything the same but a little bit
From my senior year in high school up until the day that I enrolled in the teaching program at BVU, a number of people told me that I should become a teacher. My mom, uncle, and other close family friends are teachers and they were all in my ear about doing it. For some reason I was stubborn and did not think that is what I wanted to do. This all changed while I began substitute teaching and coaching last year.
I have known in my heart since I was a little girl what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have wanted to become a teacher ever since my mom dropped me off on my first day of kindergarten. I could remember walking up to my teacher who was greeting each student at the door and told her “one day I am going to be just like you” and sure enough I am hear trying to pursue my passion for teaching the youth. I have realized that my passion for helping children is a natural calling that I am destined to follow. As a child, I attended school as an escape from a not so good home life.
I have always wanted to specialize in something that involved children. Having this opportunity made me completely sure that I wanted to be around children for the rest of my life. The teachers would always ask me for help and for me it felt right. It felt like I belonged there. I gained a lot of knowledge as an individual.
