Teaching: My Career of Choice When I was young, I had several different interests that led to endless career possibilities. Among the ever-changing lists were nursing, dolphin training, interior design, the culinary arts, and so on and so forth. From the Learning Styles assessment, I gathered that I am a visual learner. While this realization in itself will help me develop better learning and studying habits, such as writing out concepts on study cards, it is even more helpful in the way that it makes me recognize that if I learn best one way, then each of my students must also have a way they learn best. It’s not wrong to learn one way or another, but simply how our brains work. While some students will be visual learners, like me, others may be auditory or tactile/ kinesthetic. This knowledge will better help me when creating lesson plans, and will make me more sensitive to each student’s learning pace and style. In addition, from knowing each student personally and how they learn best, I can adjust my teaching
