The Delivery of the keys to St. Peter is a Renaissance art that was created by Pietro Perugino. This art is a fresco painting that was made on the wall of the Sistine Chapel. This art is a fresco on a wall and the people are painted with no three-dimensional form. It's proportioned and scaling to make the painting look as if it's a view as a person's eye. Proportion and scaling are when an artist creates an image or sculpture a certain size to make the painting more human-like; as how it's seen in person. Perugino used proportion and scaling by the way he placed Jesus standing over Peter, with Peter on one knee. He made it look like he is lower than everyone else, so the viewer sees he is on his knee. The sides don’t have the same number of people on each side but, Perugino made the art feel as if both sides are equal. The artist also uses Vanishing point in this painting; by how he sectioned the art piece. In the bottom of the art, you can see the focus of Jesus giving the keys to Peter. In the middle portion, you can see has the less attention with no bright colors or action occurring. On the very top of the art, it creates a tone and scene for the painting.
Contrast is when there are differences in the art such as colors or textures. In this work of art, there is a contrast in color intensity; color intensity is when there are bright or dull colors in an art piece. Perugino uses a high color intensity by using a bright yellow and blue clothing to make St. Peter and Jesus pop out more. He also uses low color intensity colors on some peoples clothing to make the yellow and blue stand out
