The Fault in Our Divergent Divergent by Veronica Roth is the story about a teenage girl who is struggling to keep a secret that most people wouldn't dare to think about. The main character, Tris, tries to survive in "Dawntless", which is a place where people are trained to be brave. When Tris does not fit in with society, she discovers that she can be defined as more than just brave. The story takes place in Chicago after a long war. As the city tries to recover, society is organized into five groups, Abnegation-selfless, Candor-honest, Dawntless-brave, Amity-kind, and Erudite-smart.
