The Goonies and The Hunger Games are alike and different in their stories of the hero's journey. The Ordinary World, Call to Adventure, and Mentor Helper all have a number of similarities and differences throughout their stories.

The Goonies and The Hunger Games have similarities and differences throughout their stories of the Ordinary World but in The Hunger Games, Katniss had Prim and her mother but they had nothing, no food or barely a roof over their head so Katniss grew up knowing that she had to be a leader to Prim because her mother could not be. But in the Goonies, Mikey had everything he needed so that he was supported with food and a house. Another difference between The Hunger Games and The Goonies is how in The Goonies Mikey had his older brother Bradon that helped him with his adventures and he would tell Mikey when something was really not safe because Mikey wanted to go on these adventures and thought short term not long term and Brandon although he was a big help he was not a pro in treasure hunting. And Katniss had to be better at leading the way for Peeta became even though they are the same age Katniss had to think about decisions they had to make because Peeta did not always think logistical Lastly a similarity between the Hunger Games and the Goonies is how they both had someone like Peeta in the Hunger games Chunk, Mouth, and Data all worked together to figure out the map together and Peeta helped Katniss with finding a place to stay because they had to stay
