What is a Soda Ban? you may ask yourself. A soda ban was an idea produced by Mayor Bloomberg on banning sugary drink that is larger than 16 ounces and they were not to be sold at any food-service places in New York City. At any restaurants that has a self-serve drink fountain, no cups larger than 16 ounces will be allowed to take. Giving people a soda ban would be very affective for the health rate of everyone. Obesity is one of the leading causes to heart attacks and health issues. “Obesity increases the risk for heart disease and stroke. But it harms more than just the heart and blood vessel system. It's also a major cause of gallstones, osteoarthritis and respiratory problems.” Many doctor have linked the two together, many death have been cause by obesity too. I know many may disagree with me , because people will find other ways to still have sugar in their system. Americans have a huge intake on sugars not just in drinks that have been on sale by many food-services but they can always but two drinks (or more) that will pass the 16 ounces on the ban.
