Abortion is a very controversial topic in society today. Abortion is when a woman decides to not to carry the embryo that is inside her. Normally, a woman would see a doctor about removing the embryo from her. The more technical definition of abortion, as said by the Oxford Dictionary, "the termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy." The denomination that I have chosen is Christianity. Christianity breaks down into different sub categories such as Non-denominational, Pentecostal, Catholic, Baptist, etc. Most of all the sub categories have similar beliefs that are expressed, however only the people know what view points they actually stand by. These 10 commandments could have been known as sins. The sixth commandment in the Holy Bible (Exodus 20:13) states " Thou shalt not kill." Because of this one verse, a whole controversy started with Christians, abortion and society. Because Christians believe that it is a sin to kill or murder, their stance on Abortion is that they are against it.
