Animal testing is a contemporary issue which is being addressed through an eclectic range of sources starting at the ethical lens all the way towards the scientific lens. However, this malicious treatment towards living creatures also has a grand economic impact. Animal testing is a multi-billion dollar industry, which is one of the major reasons the use of animals continues to pull on. (Neavs.org/Los Angeles Times). Nevertheless, numerous companies are accelerating to develop alternative methods in order to block off the traditional form of animal testing. Thousands of renown companies use these poor creatures in order to test their new product before they release it into the market. Nevertheless, there are places across the globes which are searching for alternative methods. To support this claim, the writer of How Bans on Animal Testing Open Up New Markets and Change the World for the Better asserts, “companies and research institutes which led the way in alternatives are finding a rapidly expanding market, as similar bans or proposals for bans appear in locations as diverse as the U.S., India, Israel, and Brazil” (Michelle Thew, 2014). This demonstrates the change which some corporations want to overcome; however, most companies still continue to ignore this contemporary concern, and buyers continue purchase these items without even considering the idea that an animal could have been injured in the process of its making. Women and African Americans were granted their “freedom” yet animals are still being tortured. These harmless creatures have no vote in what will come their way; however, people have the power to speak up against these immoral deeds. Common people can force the corporations to use other methods (which exist) to test their new products. For instance, these grand businesses can pay thirty dollars to those who volunteer to be tested on with these commodities. Additionally, “As long as countries have an option to do something the way they have always done it, the temptation will always be to carry on, but if that approach becomes unlawful, the companies rethink how they do business” (Michelle Thew, 2014).
