Do you like animals? Did you know that animals get tested on for remedies, cures, and vaccines all the time! The U.S should ban testing things on animals because it hurts the animals and maybe cause death. There are other ways to test new things with. Last but not least it can keep both the animal and people safe. The first reason why the U.S should stop testing on animals because testing things on the animals could potentially kill them. It’s as if the animals are getting tortured. “The questions implied to the use of the Draize test, which involved dripping substances such as toluene into rabbit’s eyes, causing pain and sometimes blindness. The animals are being tested on with remedies that would kill you, even worse cause pain but barely keep you alive. Up until now we have been using animals to keep us safe from remedies that could do damage to us, so we tested them on animals. But now we can keep both the animals and ourselves safe too. This is due to other methods of testing new cosmetics without using animals like artificial skin, or human blood, and even cell lines. “ Meanwhile Congress should embrace the future and pass the HUmane Cosmetics Act which would prohibit animal testing in the U.S. cosmetics industry and gradually eliminate from the U.S. market cosmetics and ingredients tested on animals.” There are other alternative testing methods other than using animals which are way efficient and cost less. “At the same time this bill would protect people, ensuring that only safe products tested with cutting-edge technology enter the U.S. market.
