At the international level, ISIS, (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has became a recurring threat to the world we live in today. The Islamist militant group has incessantly pounded distress into people’s emotions throughout the entire world. ISIS have captured a prodigious amount of land including Northern Syria to Central Iraq. Their close to indomitable force is becoming a serious menace to the population everywhere. Even though ISIS is fighting for their religion, they are taking their support for being Muslim, or Jihad to extreme levels because they are killing innocent people and are essentially creating a time period similar to the Holocaust. Under Paul Bremer, U.S administrators decided to remove the members and influence of the Ba’ath party from public office in Iraq. As a result hundreds of thousands of Sunnis were left with no job to work, frustrating many. Using there anger to an advantage, Al Qaeda in Iraq, or AQI rebelled against U.S troops. During this time, many members of this group were jailed in U.S camps due to bombings and other horrific acts. In 2007, U.S troops encouraged Sunni tribes to begin to stop influencing AQI. The majority of AQI eventually slowly ceased. At that specific time, it may have occurred to one that AQI was defeated and peace will soon to be arriving in the majority of the Middle East. A few years later, there was an revolt towards the Syrian dictator. During the Iraq war, the remaining AQI would travel to Iraq and Syria to restock, gaining numerous contacts. Soon after the Syrian dictator began to kill his own people, a civil war was generated. AQI was soon a large influence there in which they then moved further into Syria. This is where they named themselves ISIS. In 2014, ISIS captured Mosul located in Iraq and spread it way south until it was ended due to the borders of Baghdad. It soon stigmatized itself as a Caliphate. This was where there force became very potent, gaining existence in six other large countries.
