Douglas You may be able to see parallels from then to today in other countries but I fail to see how people sneaking into our country illegally and getting a job from a business in this country illegally has anything to do with slavery or labor laws. I would agree with you if we were rounding up immigrants and bringing them into our country and forcing them to work for cheap labor. That is not the case, immigrants are risking their lives and their families lives to come into The United States of America to escape the hell that they were living in and work for more money than they have ever made in their entire lives. I don't agree with companies hiring anyone that is in this country illegally and think the punishment for doing so should be
Have you an american citizen thought about all the hard work undocumented immigrants have to do just to become an american citizen? Undocumented immigrants are humans just like us they have the right to chase after their dreams so why not let them. About 11million undocumented immigrants are here in the U.S most of them are here to find a good job and give there kids/family the opportunities they deserve to become someone in life. What all Undocumented immigrants want is for their families not to be torn apart, keep the american tradition and help the economy get better. One important reason that Immigrants should get a path to citizenship is that they help keep the American tradition.
To begin with , I know quite an amount of illegals struggling just to get a job to feed their families. And no it's not just Mexicans, there are many more people who are in the same position. I have friends neighbors and even family members that would more than appreciate having a work permit. Okay imagine this, your parents traveled from a whole other country just to get a job and give you a better future than theirs. They then start to adapt to the environment and soon are on the search for a job, rejection soon arises simply because they don't have a social security.
What if you were kicked out of somewhere you called home? One significant reason that undocumented immigrants should acquire a “path to citizenship” is that America is a country of immigrants, founded by immigrants. According to Senator Charles E. Schumer in Upfront Magazine, 2016 “I can see the statue of Liberty, which welcomed my ancestors so many years ago. That statue is a symbol of hope to the world.
Illegal Immigration Our topic is the negative side of Illegal Immigration. We believe that Illegal Immigrants are bad for the United States. We think immigration is bad because americans lose jobs to immigrants, there is an increase in poverty and having more immigrants in the United States will just encourage more bad behavior and it will encourage more immigrants to come.
Leticia Suarez Mrs. Salinas English 4 11/14/14 Illegal Immigrants There is almost about an average of sixty five thousand undocumented students in the United States that do not have that option to get in-state tuition or go to college due to their legal status. Illegal immigrants should be allowed to go to college and get In-state tuition for the following reasons, the students shouldn’t be denied college education with or without legal status, the united states is a country of opportunities, and the students who are hard working and stand a high academic standard should be granted that wish to go to college. Students should not be denied college education with or without legal status On my researches I have stated
deny their protection and freedom? Illegal Immigrants only want a better life. Kant would agree with this because we should just allow them to live their best life they can possibly have. Not only is deporting the illegal immigrants back to the home country is unethical and immoral, but it is much more costly to deport all than to simply keep them in our country. It would cost $400 to $600 billion to completely; apprehend, detain, process, and transport all undocumented immigrants.
Illegal Immigration has become one of the biggest issues the United states faces in the 21st Century. Everyday more and more immigrants cross our border illegally to find work, education or even healthcare. While that may not sound all too bad, it creates a big question, who pays for all of this? And the answer to that question is you! The hardworking taxpayers of America.
The United States has always been perceived as a country of wealth and power; anything that would reflect otherwise was taken out. " Latinos constitute the largest minority group in the United States" (348) whether they are legal or not. Over the years immigration kept increasing, and after the September 11, 2001, "the war on immigrants was increasingly conflated with the war one terror." Anything that does not reflect on the White elites, is seen as terror and detrimental to society. America's flaws are never blamed on America but on others.
America has failed to be what it has always been significant for which was being the land of opportunities. Closing it’s doors to those in search of a better life because of the new immigration regulations. Immigrants are not the enemies and it has to be said in stone, they are here to increase the economy and bring culture to our society. This country has so much potential to be a great, but it hasn’t been over the last couple of months because it’s been poised with negativity and changes that has broken our immigration system. Millions and millions of families and children have been torn apart because they are being deported for being illegal immigrants in the U.S grounds.
Maureen Clark Mrs. Kline Hon. English 10/Per. 4 7 April 2017 Allowing Illegal Immigrants in the U.S. During the late Nineteenth and Twentieth centuries, the number of illegal and undocumented immigrants living in the United States has developed to a prodigious number. Most of these immigrants are coming from Mexico and Central American countries. Although the number of undocumented and illegal immigrants has grown over the past couple of decades, there is still the issue of them being illegal.
Illegal immigrants, what does that mean to you? According to the dictionary it means “Illegal immigration is the migration of people across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country.” Do you know anyone that is an illegal immigrant, that lives in the US and drives? I’m sure you do, the whole US knows we have Illegal immigrants driving on our streets, so why do we just not give them a license. Why should they not be able to get a license?
Illegal immigrants cost America “$346 billion annually. (Woolridge) This is a lot of money that could go towards other financial burdens the United States has. There are “12.5 million illegal immigrants in the United States.”
Illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the U.S.A. and become citizens because they are heavy workers, want a better life and most importantly they contribute to the U.S. economy. Immigrants simply want to obtain an opportunity to live and work in this great country. With all this in mind it is clear that they deserve a path to citizenship. Countless people say illegal immigrants are damaging the U.S. economy; however, they are contributing immensely by paying their taxes.
Refugee’s lives are filled with struggles and terror. A refugee is a migrant that is outside their home country of citizenship because they are fearful of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, or membership of a certain social group. They leave their home country because they are not safe there. Then they arrive to a place like the U.S. and struggle to adapt to a new culture and life. I chose to go to this presentation because the topic of refugees has been significant lately.
