Does standardize testing really give an accurate view of a student’s learning or ability? If you’re really thinking hard on that one, the answer is an obvious no.” No you say” will let me explain why I say no to standardize test. Standardize testing is such a basic thing that it doesn’t take into account that we forgot not everyone is the same or learns the same. Some people are absolutely terrible at test but great in class. Some are great at test taking but didn’t do anything in class and will pass with no problem. The very definition of standardize test is everyone has to answer the same questions and it’s graded all in a “standard way”. One of the most annoying things about standardized testing is standardized testing forces teachers to teach students all the same thing the same way which doesn’t help students at all. I feel that standardized testing will hinder students that don’t learn by the book so to speak. Like myself I ironically love reading but can’t learn anything from reading a book I am a hands on learner. This in and of itself puts myself and a lot of other students at a disadvantage, because standardized testing forces teachers to teach from a test book instead of employing other ways to help the students. So already those students might get lower grades on test made for people that are learning from a text book. …show more content…
