The Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control Laws

In our society, there is a constant battle between political parties and ideologies on what to do regarding gun rights. The argument is whether to maintain the gun laws we have or pass further gun restrictions. I don’t know why this is hard for some people to understand. Criminals, by definition, are people who commit crimes. If criminals do not follow the laws we have now, they will disregard any further restrictions. Obviously stricter gun laws are not the answer, so what is? The answer to this is clear, further prosecute criminals who abuse or do not follow the current gun restrictions. Many sources state that the percentage of guns used in crimes are obtained illegally is around the mid 90’s, According to gunfacts,info, this percentage is around 93%. I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that despite the definition and the facts, people still believe criminals follow the law. I forgot, as a liberal once told me, the facts don’t matter. I’ve read somewhere that 100% of all criminals haven’t followed the law at some point in their life. Criminals with intentions to break the law, are not going to follow the law to do so. It is common sense. Say we go down to the Castle, the Lancaster County Prison, and conduct a survey. For the survey we ask some, if not all, inmates if they follow the law. I’d be willing to bet that all of them will emit that the sole reason as to why they are there is because they didn’t follow the law at some point in their life. The point I am trying to make, is that criminals have not followed the law, that's why makes them criminals. If criminals followed the law, they wouldn’t be called criminals. These experts include Hitler, Castro, Qaddafi, Stalin, Idi Amin, Mao Tse-tung, Pol Pot, and Kim-Jung II. The Second Amendment gives everyone the right to self preservation. The whole point of the Second Amendment is to give citizens the freedom to own guns. Adolf Hitler banned guns in order to subject a select group of German citizens, taking away their freedom. Hitler took his power for granted and took away the freedom of German citizens to own guns. If this doesn’t scream gun laws don’t work, I honestly don’t know what does. If we were to further examine these “experts,” or just the past in general, there will be a common trend of gun control
