The Atomic Bombs. The dropping of the atomic bombs on japan was not justified, giving them no warning the U.S. went through and dropped the bomb to end war faster killing thousands of people. Considering the fact that this happened during world war 2, many were left dead, hurt, and with destroyed cities, due to japan not wanting to surrender, citizens of japan and the people in japan were impacted by this action. The United States, dropped theses bombs with not one single warning, above cities, and they did it to impress Russia.
In August 1945, amidst the closing stages of World War II, the United States made the monumental decision to deploy atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. Leading up to that monumental decision, the Pacific and European Theaters of World War II saw fierce battles between Japan and Allied forces, particularly the United States. The conflict was marked by intense fighting, with significant losses on both sides. Specifically, the Battle of Okinawa, fought from April to June 1945, was one of the bloodiest battles. It involved intense ground combat and heavy casualties on both sides.
At approximately 8:15 am on August 6th, 1945 an American B-29 bomber dropped an Atomic bomb called the Enola Gay under the commanded of former vice president and now president after the death of Roosevelt, on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, instantly killing around 80,000 people. Three days later the second Atomic bomb is dropped on another city of Japan, Nagasaki causes the deaths of 40,000 more. Consequently the Atomic Bomb killed relatively 100,000 more people that died a slow and painful death days after the explosions. Even though the atomic bomb being dropped saved more lives than if the US would have invaded Japan, because the Japanese soldiers don't surrender. , the atomic bomb should have not been dropped for moral reasons because
Over half a century has passed since the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but the debate over the decision to drop it is still alive and well. While there are valid points for both sides, the evidence and reason shown leans in favor of the side protesting the dropping of the bombs. The atomic bombs have caused so many problems since they have been dropped - problems that could have easily been prevented. If Truman just stopped to assess the situation with a clearer perspective, he would easily be able to see that the dropping of such a bomb would leave lasting psychological and physical negative effects, that Japan was already in a fragile state and would have surrendered soon anyways, and that if he were to go through with the atomic bombs he should have at least warned Japan.
The Atom Bomb. After reading these articles, we should be asking a lot of questions. Was it necessary to drop these bombs or should we have gone on foot? What was the worst of the evils? Who would suffer the most from going in and taking over.
Atomic Bomb Argumentative Essay There had been many debates about whether the U.S. should or should not have dropped the atomic bombs on Japan. Well, in my opinion, I think that the U.S. should not have dropped the atomic bombs on Japan and there are two reasons why not. One reason why the U.S. should not have dropped the atomic bombs on Japan is because there were other alternatives of what they could’ve done. Another reason why the U.S. should not have dropped the atomic bombs on Japan is because the use of the atomic bombs was inhumane.
Should we have dropped The Atomic Bomb? The majority of the people would say yes but the other disagree with what we had done during that time. Yes, we should have bomb them because they killed so many people when they bombed pearl harbor. I feel pity for bombing them only because we killed 80,000 people when it happened.
On 6 August 1945, the first ever atomic bomb to be dropped on foreign soil was released from Enola Gay on Hiroshima in Japan. The nuclear bomb ‘Little Boy’ was dropped as a disastrous attack in an attempt to make the Japanese surrender to America, and destroyed Hiroshima where over 70,000 people were killed instantaneously. When the Emperor of Japan refused to acquire the United States' (U.S./USA) terms of surrender, the U.S. Dropped their second atomic bomb, 'Fat Man' over Nagasaki on August 9th, 1945. Many people despise the use of the atomic bombs, including myself, as the mass murder of civilians is a cruel, uncalled for, sadistic act. The point of this investigation is to determine whether America's decision to drop the Atomic Bombs
“On august 6, 1945, during World War II (1939-45) an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Three days later, a second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki killing a total of over 120,000.” [History.com] Today, it is highly debated whether it was necessary for the US to drop the atomic bomb. I believe dropping the atomic bomb was the right decision for the United States. The reasons for this stance will be argued under the topics of self-defense and limiting total damage.
In the years between 1939 and 1945 World War II occurred. France and Great Britain were battling against the Axis powers that included Germany, Italy, and Japan. For the beginning of the war, America was remaining neutral until Japan attacked the US navy at Pearl Harbor. America then entered the war on December 8th of 1941, partnering up with France and Great Britain. During the time America was in the war, America was fighting both Japan and Germany on both sides of the world.
On August 6, 1945 during WW2. The American b-29 bomber “Enola Gay” dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima. The explosion killed 90% of the city and instantly killed 80,000 evaporating them on impact. The rest all died from the radiation and other would forever be affected by the radiation exposure. A few days later the second bomb on Nagasaki would be as killing as a many as 40,000 people that day.
On August 6th and 9th, 1945, the United States detonated the first and only atomic bombs ever used in war on Hiroshima and Nagaski. Hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians were killed, being vaporized or burned in an instant. Surviving victims were affected physiologically and physically, with radiation sickness, starvation, cancer, and crippling mutilations. The controversy of ‘did the ends justify the means?’ still lingers today about the US' decision. The United States believed the threat of the atomic bombs and their lasting radiation effects had a chance at finally putting an end to World War II, while saving the lives of more soldiers than invading.
The atomic bomb was something that should have never been created because of how powerful and dangerous it is. In addition, the creation brought about a lot of unrepairable suffering and damage. The catastrophic consequences of the atomic bomb are forever embedded. Many innocent people
Imagine waking up to pure chaos, including some of the deadliest and most destructive weapons ever produced by mankind, and in the blink of an eye the once city you were so familiar with becomes a flattened wasteland scattered with mutilated bodies. The loud bang of the explosion soon turned into an unsettling silence with short, blood-curling, agonizing screams. This is the reality for citizens of two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I don’t agree with Harry Truman’s decision to drop the bomb, and I think it was unethical. In my opinion, I don’t think it was necessary because the Japanese were already about to quit.
