On August 6, 1945 during WW2. The American b-29 bomber “Enola Gay” dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima. The explosion killed 90% of the city and instantly killed 80,000 evaporating them on impact. The rest all died from the radiation and other would forever be affected by the radiation exposure. A few days later the second bomb on Nagasaki would be as killing as a many as 40,000 people that day. These bombs being dropped inevitably forced the japanese emperor to surrender themselves. This is the only time in history where atomic bombs have been dropped in a wartime effort.In early 1939 the scientific community figured out that German physicists learned how to split uranium atoms.
