When scouting out a college students rarely look up “sexual assault reports”; most prospective students are just wondering if their dream institution has their intended major. No university is advertising their sexual assault cases because it’s not an appealing aspect, it’s a drawback. Colleges are selling, not only to prospective students but also donors, that their institution is the best money can buy. After watching The Hunting Ground on Netflix, it is clear that this is an issue that college students have been facing for several years, but it isn’t being addressed. At new student orientations schools will show several presentations of Title IX. It is an interesting concept given that most colleges advertise they want to give each student the same college experience. Men and women apply to colleges to further their educations and eventually dive into their desired careers. Some students hope to join greek life, athletics or even other on campus groups. But when there are sexual predators on campuses they turn the dream college into a hunting ground, these offenders will think that “if I can get away once, I can do it again.” (Dick, 2015) The importance of sexual assault prevention is inevitable, and should be pushed constantly. Because sexual assault is covered by the Title IX law: it should not matter what the victim was doing or what they were wearing and there shouldn’t be one in five women being assaulted on campuses every
