Increase gun laws
Have you had a dream, that you were shot? When you awoke you are elated and realized that all was a hallucination. There have been recent mass shootings in the world and many people’s lives were put in jeopardy. Yet, the United States has constantly failed to set gun control laws to protect people. I strongly believed that the Government should increase gun laws, and maximize the limits of owning a gun.

Background checks might not be the solution. According to the article Does the U.S. Need Tougher Gun-Control Laws? From Junior Scholastic that “ A new survey found that 22 percent of gun owners recently bought a firearm through a private sale. Such sales do not require a background check and are legal in more than 30 states.” Not all fifty states or any private sales require a background so therefore it is not safe for other citizens and anyone could own a gun. In the article Junior Scholastic, it talks about in 2014 that a doctor had used a handgun from stopping a gunman from shooting in the hospital. Police claim that if it weren't for the doctor for using his handgun to stop the gunman than a lot more lives would be gone. The gunman had mental and a criminal record which restricts them from using a gun. In the article Junior Scholastic also states that “Gun control has consistently failed to keep bad guys from getting firearms. Gun-control advocates claim that we just need tougher laws. But with thousands of pages of failed gun laws already on the books, it’s highly unrealistic to think that enacting more restrictions will work any better.” The government had been failing to increase gun laws but has numerous failed to do so, there is a slight chance that guns laws would tighten
