The Civil War The civil war started in 1863 The Civil War began with a compromise called the Missouri compromise. The Missouri compromise was a compromise that Missouri will be slave state. The United States were split into two groups the Union and the Confederacy. The North was the Union which was against slavery. On the other hand the Confederacy was the south and wanted slaves, but the thing that really started the Civil War was the cotton gin. The Cotton Gin The cotton gin was involved in the CIvil War was because it was the reason the people( white people ) that owned slaves needed someone to go pick the cotton to put in the cotton gin. The battle of Fort Sumter happen in the year of 1863 in Charleston, South Carolina. It was one of the most brutalest battle in the Civil War. The second war in the Civil War was the battle of Bull Run it was taken place at North Virginia. 481 people killed, and 1011 wounded. The Middle What’s been happening battle after battle. The most recent battle was the battle of Fredericksburg. The battle of Fredericksburg lasted about 4 days guns firing, the hole time people dieing. It was about the third bloodiest battle in the Civil War. At the battle of Fredericksburg 72500 people were killed. It was fought in Virginia. The Confederacy won the battle. The End The last battle was the battle of Monocacy. Monocacy was the most important battle because it would decide if we would have slaves or not. In this case the Union won this battle but the confeds didn’t want to give up. Also the battle of Monocacy was split into two parts.
