Mr Bennett should be found not guilty of murder because there is reasonable doubt. Although the prosecution says Mr. Bennett is guilty, he is not because Mr. Alfaro’s fingerprints were found on the coffee mug and the rat poison that was found was only available to exterminators and Mr. Alfaro was an exterminator also Mr Alfaro poured Mr. Adams a cup of coffee five minutes before the death, Mrs. Reid was Mr. Adam’s closest relative she believed she was gonna inherit everything from him but she was also very jealous and often spread nasty rumors about Mr. Adam’s, Mrs, Swanson said that Mr. Adams sugar looks very similar in size, shape, and color. The strongest piece of evidence is that Mr. Alfaro’s fingerprints were found on Mr. Adam’s coffee mug, and that the rat poison used was only available to exterminators and Mr. Alfaro was the only exterminator. Mr. Alfaro was the last person seen getting Mr. Adams coffee five minutes before Mr. Adams collapsed, Mr. Alfaro was brought to the party by Mrs. Reid. Adams had poor eyesight and it was found that the rat poison and sugar box were right next to each other so he could have mistaken one for the other. Before Mr. Adams went to get cream and sugar for his coffee while he did that, all of his guests were dancing in the lounge and playing pool, Mrs. Swanson testified that Mr. Adams had very poor eyesight and struggled to read labels.
