Mr. Bennett should be found not guilty because there is strong evidence that shows that he did not kill Mr. Adams. There is reasonable doubt that has been put against him but, there is also reasoning and evidence that he is not the one who killed Mr. Adams and that someone else has framed him for their actions. The strongest piece of evidence in this case was that if Mr.Bennet had killed Mr.Adams, he wouldn’t have checked his pulse because he would’ve already known he was dead and wouldn’t have had to check his pulse. Mr.Bennett states that he checked his pulse which shows evidence that he did not kill Mr.Adams because he would've already known he was dead. Mack had been staying around Mr. Adams drinking a lot that night. He had been standing by the drink that night, which shows reasonable evidence Mr. Mack could’ve poisoned Mr. Adams. This evidence is supportive because it shows that Mr. Mack could also be a suspect and obviously could’ve killed Mr. Adams. After all, he had been around Mr. Adams drinking a lot the night of the party. A third piece of evidence is that Mr. Alfaro's fingerprints were also found on the cup, which may have something to do with the rat poisoning. In the trial paper given to us, it states Mr. Alfaro’s fingerprints were also found on the cup, which may give a clue as to who killed him with rat poisoning. What could have happened is Mr. Alfaro grabbed Mr. Adam's cup, and poisoned it with rat poisoning and so when Mr. Adams went to get his coffee, he would’ve been poisoned by the rat poisoning Mr. Alfaro put in the cup. The evidence I have given shows that Mr. Bennett is not guilty and that this was all reasonable doubt put against him. There is evidence that shows Mr. Alfaro or Mr. Mack could’ve done it because first off, Mr. Alfaro was an exterminator, which could have been evidence to show that he could’ve put the poison in Mr. Adams's
