Dear Jury Members: Mr. Eldridge should be found guilty of murdering Mr. Armes with a kitchen spatula and there is sound reasoning to back up this claim. Although the defense claims that Mr. Eldridge is not guilty, they are wrong because David Eldridge’s footprints were found all over the grease which was found all over the crime scene, also Mr. Eldridge was very mad about not getting a raise that morning, and Mr. Armes got into a very big argument on the morning of the murder. Eldridge asked for a raise to get the money that he needed, and didn’t get it. This evidence proves my claim because this would all be the reason he quit and he needed a new job that paid him enough money. This evidence proves the claim because Patrick Lewis says that Mr. Armes was a greedy pig and this proves why he didn’t give Mr. Eldridge a raise and is also probably why Mr. Eldridge doesn’t like him. Patrick Lewis saw him very upset, giving Mr. Eldridge another reason to be mad at Mr. Armes and wanting to murder him. Lastly, Mr. Armes wouldn’t give him a raise because Mr. Armes was getting too greedy about his money and Mr. Eldridge also had access to the safe for the restaurant. Mr. Armes was mad because Mr. Eldridge had access to the safe and that is why they got into the argument. So Mr. Eldridge just asked for a raise and Mr. Armes rejected him to get a raise and that was all the morning of the
