Explain what “proctoring” means and why the UoPeople requires proctored exams. Proctors oversee the final exam to ensure the proper person is taking the exam and to see the integrity of the exam process is upheld. Proctors eliminate the potential for cheating and fraud and validate the exam. The University of the People requires that students complete proctored exams for a specific number of courses as determined by their degree type.
A test was design for each required lab and it was repeated until students achieved mastery as students were tested on these four labs in the exam. This was done as the item analysis revealed that the students were weak in these
I could recall nearly every detail from those questions, and the answer choices they provided. When I look them over after the test, I can answer all of the questions without hesitation. But when it comes to figuring out how to move on and ultimately become content, I draw a blank, just like on that day of the test. The pattern stays static, and though I do well on tests, I desire perfection, that cherry on top to cement that I know the material in and out. That has been my mentality to as far back as I can remember.
The most important thing for reading quizzes is at the back of the AMSCO book (the Index). On test, don't spend too long on one question, and make sure you study before! For FRQ's (Free Response Questions) just make sure you don't spend all of your time on one part. Also make sure you know some of the basic RLE's. The final tip I want to give you is to not give up.
However, I teach the strategy to answer those questions. I provide formulas that make a student work faster and more accurately. I show students how to map out passages and create the best reading system based on their natural reading style. The best advice I have for choosing the right tutor is to look for
Parents to provide for their child or children access to whatever was necessary to pass, and students do almost anything to have success and get into an Ivy League school. Cheating became an accepted or expected norm. Of course, cheating is not a new phenomenon. Reflecting on this chapter caused this writer to consider experiences from high school. There were several situations witnessed where teachers assisted students with the answers to tests in an attempt to help them pass to the next grade, keep a higher average in order to play sports.
Not only reviewing notes but understanding them creates more of a connection between what is on paper and your mind. It is important to be confident on test days because if you think you will do poorly, then you will do poorly. If you are confident that you will do good, then you will do good. Something that I enjoyed in this class was being able to improve my test scores as the class went on. At the beginning of the year, my test score was relatively low, but as the year progressed, my scores increased.
In this test, they have to recall the words that were in the list they had studied at the beginning of the
After an orientation, students are familiar regarding standardized testing and other prerequisites and course requirements. If students will be tested using a standardized instrument the teacher will have less flexibility in choosing the material proposed to be covered in a course. In order to achieve maximum success on the test, course objectives and lessons will need to closely align with the intended test students will
Going into the role of Peer Mentor, I was very anxious that I was missing something. I was nervous that would be faced with something I couldn’t handle. I worried I wouldn’t be able to communicate efficiently with the student or my faculty member. I was afraid I wouldn’t be supported and taking this position would end up being a mistake. I am happy to say that none of my fears were realized and this experience has been one of the most educational and fulfilling that I have experienced in my time at American University.

Some may say that they can pass without getting “extra help” when it comes to tests or assignments, but numbers show that the use of unauthorized help is growing rapidly. In 1993, 64% of students had admitted to cheating on one or more instances
In my observations at Yale High School, I have notice that my mentor teacher allows or dismisses the fact that a male student is sleeping. The student sleeps in two of the of classes that my mentor teacher. At times my mentor teacher will correct him, but the student will just go back to sleep after a few minutes. The class is not boring, but it is a lecture based class. The student uses his binder and books to build a small wall on his desk, which “hides” him.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Los Angeles, California) The California Research Bureau recently found that students who receive one-on-one tutoring for their reading witness the strongest positive impact on their reading scores during the elementary school years. Children also perform higher on standardized language arts and math tests when they are tutored, and they show greater attendance in school. Many parents question how to help their child succeed in school, and online tutoring may be the answer. TutorMe (www.tutorme.com) can be of help.
Working with children in this setting is important to me because it is the closest we can get to learning how students may operate in a classroom setting without actually being in a classroom. Obviously the kids’ summers are different than their time in the classroom in the school year, but they are similar as well. This setting provides structure for the kids. There is a set schedule and that is extremely important for kids both in the summer and during the school year. I believe giving students this setting to grow and develop is both important to them and myself.
