UWL is the school for me for a vast spectrum of reasons. One of the biggest being the countless opportunities for internships for those pursuing a Communications degree. After being a part of the Arts and Com day at the college, and learning about how well those with a communications degree from this school are able to present and market themselves, it only further strengthened my assurance that this is the school for me. Not only do the opportunities for internships appeal to me, but also the incredible study abroad program that the school has created for their students. It was wonderful to hear from a student who studied abroad in that her experience was absolutely perfect thanks to the schools resources and aid throughout the process. …show more content…

Your Communications major with an emphasis in Broadcast media is exactly the interest I am seeking to pursue. After attended the Arts and Comm Day I was thrilled to learn more about this field and to find that it is exactly what I am looking for. Not once did I feel any hesitation throughout the entire presentation on the major. Another program that I am incredibly interested in is your student organized hiphop team. Being a cheerleader for 8 years on two different squads and then competing for my high school dance team all four years of high school has pushed me to find a campus that allows me to continue doing what I love. Being the choreographer of the hip hop team shows not only leadership but also dedication and passion. I took the time to give my team 100% and deliver and stellar routine with which they could use to compete. I also display extended dedication and passion by then finding and cutting together a hip hop soundtrack to go along with the routine. Due to my loyalty and ability to deliver for my team I was recently named co-captain. All of my leadership skills, dedication, personability, and passion earned me this title and I believe these are the kind of traits and characteristics that your campus not only looks for but fights
