University of the People is first of all an American non-profit institution of higher education headquartered in Pasadena, California, United States. Knowing that the mission statement of an organization constitutes of the cultural values of that organization, give me the platform to say that from the mission statement of UoPeople, one can clearly get a clue of what its culture is all about. Therefore, the mission statement of UoPeople is “....to offer affordable, quality, online, degree-granting educational programs to any qualified student”. UoPeople also believes that with academic program that is strict, suited to the challenges of today, and assessed on an ongoing basis will result in quality education. In addition to that, UoPeople also tend to affiliate with some traditional academic community such as the research partner of Yale Law School's Information Society Project, New York University that announced to consider eligible UoPeople students for acceptance to its campus in Abu Dhabi, as well as University of California Berkeley in order to help in the quality of education from
