When it comes to teaching schools have been focusing more on student management and making sure that students are on task and behaving. If we change our mindset to focus on leading students through their learning and meeting their needs it allows for all students to get motivated about their learning and more importantly their progress. As a kindergarten physical education teacher I have 50+ students in my classroom which means that there is a lot of energy in one room and if I only focus on managing student behavior the power of the classroom is in my hands. If i lead them through their learning the students have the power to take ownership of the classroom as well as their learning and behavior.
