The tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet may leave you wondering how things would have been if Friar Laurence’s plan went in favor. By the end of the play its clear to see that certain events, people, and decisions led to their wrongful deaths. I believe that the parents of Romeo and Juliet should be held most accountable. Generally speaking the whole situation could have been avoided if the Montague versus Capulet family feud was dropped or settled in someway early on. The main factors that contributed to the disastrous ending were the Montague and Capulet family hatred for each other, Juliet practically being forced to marry Paris and Friar Laurence’s attempt to help Juliet. All of these point the finger back to the parents.
