Science has always been a passion of mine. Throughout high school, science has always been one of my best subjects and I have an interest in new advances in the field. Being able to partake in this program would be a great opportunity for me to explore science from a research perspective. I should be chosen for this internship because of my skills, love for science, and my post-secondary and career plans. I think I should be selected for this program because I am eager to learn more about a career in research. I am curious as to how a research lab operates and about the pathways that scientists have taken to get to where they are. I am a well-rounded student with a high academic standing, I am a strong leader, and I take part in various extracurricular activities. As a member of various school bands and the Camp Olympia team, I have acquired many skills, especially leadership and teamwork skills. Enrolling in the biotechnology program at my school has also helped me improve my lab skills. Not, only does it help the health of humans, but also other living organisms and it gives humans a better understanding of the world.
