Animal Testing is it right or wrong
Animals have been used for experiments in order to find more information on the human anatomy and how humans biological structures react to certain variable. Animals can be used in various forms experiments like dissection, trials, and other factors that animalś bodies may react to. Humans reason to test on animals is that they have similar genetic coding, and can be used for medical research to develop new medical practices or to learn more about conditions and diseases that affect the human body. There had been conflicts since the beginning of animal experimentation whether it is right to use animals in experiments or if it is wrong in moral standards. Another argument give is that humans need to use animals because of need, that humans need animals be used as test subjects in order to advance the medicine that helps humans combat diseases. that animals are not capable to think and reason like humans thus they have no part in the same moral community as humans and have no rights because cannot make any decisions allowing people to justify testing on animals. What many argue is that animal testing is unethical as the notion of animals being different from humans in intelligence as being a justification is ludicrous that although they are not equal with humans moral and intelligence wise but said to be equal in genetic coding to be the reason for animals to be tested on without considering their suffering and pain. An argument that the unethical side presents is that animal are able to experience the same pain as humans as well as to have a conscious and have a common interest, not to experience pain and suffering. That philosophers like Peter Singer says that humans should consider the interests of other sentient beings and for humans to to put their own interest above those beings as it becomes …show more content…

Erasistratus motivation behind conducting dissections and experiments on animalś organs such as the hearts in order to have a clear understanding on how the human hearts function as a whole. Many of these animal experiments led to medical discoveries and the advancement of medicine such as Galenś ( ancient Greek doctor) discovery of veins being able to carry blood by working with different animals. Not only were experiments being conducted in one nation, other countries use animals for medicine and in it . One important example of animal testing being a factor to a huge advancement in medicine was the development of early vaccines for diseases by French scientist Louis Pasteur. He developed the basic principles for vaccinations, how he developed them was by conducting experiments on groups of farm animals, injecting them with the germs and exposing the vaccinated group to those not vaccinated finding that those who were vaccinated survived while the untreated ones died from the disease. Although using animals to advance medicine itself arose the discussion of whether it was right right to subject animals in these experiments, that launched a whole
