In Today’s society, marijuana is considered “harmful” and “evil”, but marijuana has an impact on humans in a very helpful way. In fact, a growing number of states has legalized marijuana ("Is Marijuana Medicine?"). Marijuana has been a very controversial topic over the past years, especially in the political world. Marijuana is not as dangerous as it seems, actually it is better for you than some things that are legal. Although marijuana is illegal, we should legalize marijuana in all 50 states because it is a medicine, it is better for you than alcohol and tobacco, and it puts money in our economy.

THC may decrease pain, inflammation, swelling and redness, and muscle control problems ("Is Marijuana Medicine?"). With marijuana helping people feel better as a medicine, Americans can be even more healthy. Cannabis also may help the body regulate vital functions-such as protecting the brain against trauma and boosting the immune system (Johnson). Marijuana is also considered an analgesic, a anti-emetic, a bronchodilator, and an anti-inflammatory (Johnson).
