Failure for Moorestown girls lacrosse is not an option. This powerhouse lacrosse program had a winning streak of eighty-eight consecutive games. My sophomore year the program experienced their first loss in what seemed like forever. Continuously, the timer on the scoreboard got closer to triple zeros, everyone’s hearts went into their throats anticipating the end. The opposing team was up by one and were stalling the ball.
While the game played by men and women have the same goal, scoring to win, the sport of men’s and women’s lacrosse is incredibly different making it difficult to compare. From an outsider’s perspective, it may appear as if the only difference is the gender. However, when examining the rules, there are more differences than similarities such as the equipment used, the protective gear worn and the amount of physical contact allowed. These are just a few of many of the differences.

Illegal hits in girls hockey turn legal It has always been a controversial issue that girls should not be tough or strong, but many women today have moved past that judgement and shown that they can and will be stronger than many men. Hockey for example is a rough sport to play in, and many people believe that girls should be limited to how much body contact is allowed because girls ‘aren’t tough enough to take a hit.’ Girls should be able to check in women's hockey at all levels.
