Lim Date: 9/26/2017 Re: Workforce Diversity Practices and Policies ______________________________________________________________________________ The world in which we live and experience today, the world in which we interact and socialize in today, and the work environments we wake up to, get dressed for, and spend roughly 92 to 120 hours of our life to, is in a state of flux. With many companies outsourcing and becoming global, with many immigrants and foreign-born workers increasing, in addition to aging workers, and growth in women workers, there is a parallel of increased diversity in the workforce. It is important to understand, not only as a reflection of the reputation for a company, that diversity in the workforce can increase productivity and efficiency, create better quality, increase innovation and creativity, but most importantly, profitability. …show more content…
