This reflects Peter's development because it shows how well Peter follows directions and I can see if/ how he problem solves throughout the course of the lesson. When facilitating the instructional strategies, I used whole group instruction and independent activity instructions for this lesson. Having whole group instruction helps Peter’s development because he is learning independently as well as with the help of his peer partner, Michael. Peter often watches his classmates, this problem solving method helps Peter to figure out what he needs to do. Whole group instruction reflects Peters age because as the teacher, I can see how he responds to certain situations both independently and with his peers; if one of his peers comes up to him and starts talking to him about what they did that weekend, I would see how Peter responds, whether that is him reciprocating the gesture or completely ignoring the individual. Additionally, this reflects Peter’s strengths because I can see where his social cues are at.
