Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. It is one of the most controversial ¨right¨ that is being debated today. Many people just see it as a way out of a mistake they have made or even a way out of causing birth defects. In the middle of the controversy, two groups have been made and have been debating ever since then. These groups are referred to as pro-life and pro-choice. When talking about the subject of abortion people will always go into two different viewpoints and there will always be someone who will not agree with you. Pro-life supporters claim that life begins at conception, therefore, abortion at any stage in the pregnancy is murder. Even if the father wouldn't want to do abortion, the mother would still want abortion because of the simple statement of ‘It's my body’. The real fact is that no matter how well the procedure for abortion goes, there will still be some psychological damage and is also morally wrong. The history of abortion goes way back to when the abortion laws began to appear in the 1800s, forbidding abortion due to lack of medical education, procedures and surgeries because of the danger it might be. Ever since then there has been a controversy of whether it should be legal or illegal. By the time it was 1965, most states banned abortion, with some exceptions which varied by state: to save the life of the mother, in cases of rape or incest, or if the fetus was deformed.
