For quite a long time, we have used animals to experiment for a variety of things including medicine, drugs, and cosmetics. It’s something used worldwide in numerous countries. But here’s the question: Is animal testing really worth it? Did you know that every year, millions of animals are poisoned, blinded, and killed in crude tests to evaluate the toxicity of consumer products and their ingredients? These animals are forced to swallow or breathe in large amounts of testing substances or they may be locked up having to endure a chemical eating away at their sensitive eyes and skin. For those of you with your beloved pets, imagine if they had to go through this! There are some people who are 100% for animal testing, while there are others who are against it, trying to make a stand.

First off, It is needless to say, cruel to test on animals. One reason animals are expereimented on is so that we, humans can find cures to diseases and sicknesses. The funny thing is some of this research and money is put into trying to find cures for AIDS or types of cancer like HIV, sicknesses that these animals cannot develop. Not only that but even if it were to work on the animal, it could have a totally different effect on a human. There are many animal activists that believe that animals have to right to live free and not be caged every single day waiting to be experimented on.
