Gun Control
Gun control refers to laws or policies that control the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession or use of firearms. We should limit the amount of guns that are on the streets. If we continue to make getting guns easily accessible then we might have to deal with the murder rate rising, and gang affiliates becoming more aggressive. The rival side objection makes sense, because they feel it violates the 2nd amendment, the right to bear arms; but if it is a choice of our rights over murder rate, I would choose to keep our people safe first. Government or private company gun control is necessary in order to keep American citizens safe, because helps lower murder rates and lower the crime rate in America …show more content…

Bloomberg would make better, stricter background checks on people buying firearms from private sellers and at gun shows. I support and believe in Bloomberg’s decision to guide the U.S. to a more gun controlled country. The murder rate that comes with easy access to guns is unbelievable. In a statistical chart about gun control; “about 8,000 people a year are killed in gun based homicides”.72 percent of all violent killings are done by using guns as weapons. “Background checks in connection with gun ownership are another issue demanding evaluation” (Background on gun control). There is even something called a “gun show loophole” they don’t do background checks when purchasing a gun at private transaction. All of this just points to the murder rate increasing in the coming years. These statistics should help us to understand why raising awareness on gun control is important. If we continue to allow anyone to own a gun then what can we say about our future if we can see one at
