After I complete by bachelor’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh in the field of Information Science with a concentration in networks and security I have decided that I would really like to go to grad school. The grad school that I particularly would like to attend is CMU. This is the reason why I jumped at this opportunity as soon as it was sent to me by our advisor. I would like to attend CMU and pursue the master’s degree in the MSISPM field. I have decided that I want to go down this path because I feel that it is an extremely important field of study that is sometimes undervalued by companies and government alike. I feel that working for the government would allow me to practice information security as well as allow me to feel the pride of serving my country in some way while doing so. This want to pursue a career inside the government was another reason I have decided to pursue CMU. If I got in I would love the opportunity to pursue the Scholarship for Service program I saw on the program’s website. I feel it would be a great way to get a first step in attaining my long term goal of getting a government job as well as getting some assistance in paying for the growing cost of graduate school.
